Chris McKay

Chris joined Granite Ventures from Hambrecht & Quist, where he was an analyst in the firm’s Venture Capital department. Chris focuses on investments in infrastructure and application software, digital media and payments technology.

Chris currently serves on the board of Marqeta (modern card issuing) and Lucidworks (next-gen enterprise search).

Chris previously served as a Director for HireVue (digial candidate assessment; acquired by Carlyle Group), Arcot Systems (strong authentication as a service; acquired by CA Technologies), Purisma (master data management, acquired by Dun & Bradstreet), Sendmail (e-mail infrastructure; acquired by Proofpoint) and Symplified (cloud identity; acquired by RSA/EMC) and was a Board Observer at Anaplan (cloud-based business modeling), Actional (acquired by Progress Software), Connected (remote backup solution; acquired by Iron Mountain), Cardiff (electronic forms technology, acquired by Verity) and Convio (CRM for non-profits; IPO, subsequently acquired by Blackbaud). Chris led Granite’s investment in Sense (enterprise data science platform; acquired by Cloudera).
